The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the only undergraduate medical entrance exam in India. AIIMS and JIPMER entrance exams have been replaced by NEET. So, going forward, the only entrance exam to get into the medical colleges in India and Abroad is only through NEET. NEET examination is conducted only once a year. Below is the important information for applying for NEET 2020:
General category- Rs.1500
OBC non-creamy Layer- RS.1400
Transgender- Rs. 800
Payment for the application fee can be made through online or offline mode. For online mode, you can use a credit card, debit card, net banking and Paytm.
The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based). The total number of questions is 180 questions which will be divided into 3 sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and there will only be the multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Furthermore, Biology has 2 divisions - Zoology and Botany which will be divided into 45 questions each.
Coming to the syllabus, the question paper will be based only on the NCERT syllabus. There will be no changes in the syllabus. The aspired students can make multiple attempts for NEET. There are no restrictions.>
