Over 12 lakh students have appeared for CBSE Board examinations this year. There was a lot of mess about the examination due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The examinations were postponed from March to July, and then finally cancelled. In which the board decided to review the previous papers of the students for the particular subjects that the exam could not be held. However, today the wait is over. The Central Board of Secondary Education has finally declared the class 12 results for all streams at its official portal, that is, cbseresults.nic.in.
Like every other year, the board examinations results of Science, Arts and Commerce are issued on the same day. Over 88% of students have passed the examination out of approximately 12 Lakh who appeared.
Key Highlights of Class 12 CBSE
The marks obtained in the CBSE optional exam will be considered as final for all the students who have opted to give these examinations. Even for students who have cleared the CBSE exam can opt for the CBSE optional examination if they wish.
CBSE will examine as per its previous information that it has given to all. They will be conducting an optional examination in subjects that were scheduled to be conducted from July 1 - 15, 2020, when the conditions are better.
In this year the pass percentage has increased by 5.38%. This year over 88.78% of students has passed whereas the previous year 83.40% had passed.
7.35% of students will give the compartmental examination this year.
The CBSE has announced that they will not be releasing any merit list this year due to the pandemic.
Approximately 400 students’ results could not be computed, their results will be out later on.
Trivandrum has the highest record of pass percentage whereas Patna has the lowest pass percentage this year.
The top 5 regions are - Trivandrum, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi West, and Delhi East.
