Isn’t it great news for all of you? Now all the students who are appearing in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Examination will have some more seats to fight for.
You would be very happy to know that there are over three medical colleges in Maharashtra that have been given a nod from the Medical Council of India (MCI). This consent is going to add 500 more seats to the state this year.
Out of three colleges, two of them in total will comprise 300 seats which will be affiliated to deemed universities and the third college will be run by private management. This addition of MBBS seats will take the total medical seat count of Maharashtra to 6,700 in private & government. So, the entire Medical seat count of Maharashtra will be 8,900, which is bringing good news for all MBBS aspirants.
The entire MBBS seat count has hiked up to 30% so far in these two years. The proposal of these three colleges has been given consent by the medical council of India. These colleges are situated in Pune, Sindhudurg, and Nagpur.
The state comprises 8,900 medical seats. Over 6,700 MBBS seats will be available for admission in the centralized procedure which will be conducted by DMER and the state CET cells this year. The fee Regulating Authority will be deciding the fee of the first medical college that will be situated in Sindhdurg.
While on the other hand the fee of the other two medical colleges that are situated in Nagpur and Pune will be decided by the deemed universities they will be affiliated to. Admission to all these colleges will be done from NEET-UG only. National Testing Agency, NTA is conducting NEET UG 2020 this year.
