NEET 2020 will be conducted on May 3, 2020, by NTA for all the interested candidates who are planning of enrolling in the first year of MBBS or BDS medical courses in the government or private Indian medical colleges. The commencement for NEET 2020 Registration will start from December 2, 2019, on the official website of NTA- www.nta.nic.in. The registration window will remain open until December 31, 2019. The acronym NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is a medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency every year for enthusiastic and deserving medical students who are interested in seeking admission in the first year of MBBS and BDS medical program in Indian government and private medical colleges. The examination conducting body- NTA is established by the Ministry of Human Resources Development solely for the purpose of selecting candidates for several medical courses and administering the relevant entrance examination.

National Testing Agency has released some important dates for NEET 2020 so that students can keep track of important events. Check out the below table for important dates along with the events.

The eligibility criteria for registering NEET 2020 is mentioned below. All the candidates are advised to go through NEET 2020 eligibility criteria to confirm their eligibility for the same.
Basically, there are 5 simple steps to fill up the NEET 2020 Application Form. Just follow the mentioned below 5 steps and fill up your NEET 2020 application form successfully without any confusion.
Step 1- Visit the official website of NTA at- www.ntaneet.nic.in and click on the link which says New Registration. A new window will open up which will ask your details such as your name, phone number, email id, date of birth and other such mandatory details. Fill up the details correctly.
Step 2- Once you will successfully fill all the required fields and click on the submit button, the registration Id and password will be generated which will be sent to the mentioned email id and phone number.
Step 3- The candidate needs to use the registration id and password to fill up the application form. After login with the credentials, the candidate needs to fill the required personal details, academic details, exam center preference, etc.
Step 4- Moving ahead the candidate needs to upload the scanned image of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. The specifications for the same are mentioned in every column.
Step 5- Once the student has uploaded all the documents and has filled all the mandatory fields, he can click on the submit button to pay the application fee charges. The payment is a non-refundable application fee. The mode of payment can be net banking or credit/debit card. The candidate can pay the fee through cash deposit (e-challan) which needs to be paid at the State Bank of Indian branches only. After paying the application fee charges, the candidate can download the form and take a print out of it for future reference.

The questions are multiple-choice questions. Students will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

As per the NTA, the tentative date for NEET 2020 Result declaration is June 4, 2020. The result will be declared on the official website of NTA and candidates can check their result by clicking on the link saying NEET 2020 Result. After the result declaration, the candidate needs to register himself/herself for the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC portal to participate in the NEET counseling.
The marks scored by the candidate or the AIR (All Indian Rank) achieved by the students last admitted through NEEt defines the cutoff for a year. The cut-offs vary for the candidates belonging to the different categories. The cut-off for NEET 2020 will be released by NTA post the declaration of the exam. Till then, students can refer to NEET 2019-18 cut-off in the below-given table-
