NEET and JEE most likely to be held in June

National Testing Agency would likely conduct NEET and JEE in the second or the third week of June.

As per the latest reports from the National Testing Agency, with the second phase of lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, the NTA will likely conduct the NEET & JEE exam in June.

If we pay heed to the sources from the Ministry of Human resource and development the NEET and the JEE exam will only be possible to be conducted in or after the mid of June. This is because there are still some boards that have not yet conducted their senior secondary examination that is the class 12th examination which is very crucial to every student who wants to pursue his/her graduation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14, 2020, announced that the lockdown will be extended till May 3, 2020. Soon after the announcement, the National Testing Agency announced the reopening of its correction window and exam centers of NEET 2020 and JEE MAIN 2020 until May 3rd. We can see this as a hint that the date of the examination will be delayed until things get back to normal.

Many claims said that the NTA will be conducting these examinations in July, addressing these claims a senior officer of National Testing Agency said that they have not come to any such decision yet. He added that students should only follow the official website of NTA for any such information related to their examination. Under the present circumstance, there is no such way to be able to predict a date on which they will conduct these examinations.

According to a report by the MHRD said that a decision on CBSE and NTA exam dates would only be taken after this lockdown has been lifted properly from the entire country. There are several state boards too along with CBSE who have not yet conducted their 10th and 12th examination. They would only be able to conduct the NEET examination after this situation of coronavirus that the country is facing comes to an end.
