Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a renowned public research University located in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, on the central banks of Yangtze River. The University has one main campus situated nearby East Lake scenic spot and a satellite medical campus in the central business district of Hankou on the other side of the river.

HUST came into existence in the year 1952 with the name of Huazhong Institute of Technology. Later on, in 2000, the university collaborated with Tongji Medical University and Wuhan Urban Construction Institute; for the formation of HUST.

The University is considered as a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary destination for all the students including the medical aspirants of MBBS at HUST. It has won many awards & recognition in various national and international competitions. Now the University has developed itself among the seven national technology transfer in China.

HUST constitutes about 3,000 full-time faculty members; out of which over 900 are professors and 1300 associate professors. The University holds the best laboratories equipped with all the modern infrastructure and latest technologies equipment. Its graduate employment rate has reached 95%.

As far as Hospitals for training purpose are concerned, then the University has three affiliated hospitals- Union Hospital, Tongji Hospital, Liyuan Hospital; which plays a significant role in students clinical rotations, enriching their minds with clinic medical service, teaching, scientific research and training.

HUST has established and maintained cordial relations & partnership with more than 100 reputed Universities and Research Institutions worldwide. Medical degrees offered at the University are recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).
