Commencement of NEET-PG 2021 Counselling for Admissions

NEET-PG 2021 Counselling will begin from January 06, 2022. The Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday assured the candidates who have cleared the NEET-PG examination that the admissions for Post Graduate Medical Program will begin soon. 

The Supreme Court of India and the Gazette notifications issued by the NMC confirmed that the counselling for 15% of UG and 50% of PG seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) of DGHS, who is entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the counselling for both the UG and PG seats for All India Quota seats will be conducting 4 rounds of counselling with effect from 2021-22 academic year. All India Quota online counselling rounds include the AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-Up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.

Candidates can apply for fresh registration for 

  • AIQ Round 1
  • AIQ Round 2
  • AIQ Mop-Up Round

However, no fresh registration is allowed for AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. 

During the counselling session, candidates who have joined the allotted seat in round 2 and other rounds of counselling cannot resign from the allotted seat. Doing so, will be ineligible to take part in further rounds of the counselling sessions. However, candidates who have not joined the allotted seat in Round 2 are eligible for further rounds subject to forfeiture of the security deposit and fresh registration in the Mop-Up round.
