NEET 2019 Result Analysis: OBC Category Records Highest Number Qualifying Candidates

NTA (National Testing Agency) on June 5, 2019, declared the NEET-UG 2019 Results at 2:30 PM on its official website- www.ntaneet.nic.in. The result was expected to be announced by 4:00 PM, which was declared two hours early. All the candidates who have appeared for NEET-UG 2019 can check their results by login on the NTA official website- www.ntaneet.nic.in  

Cut off:- NEET-UG Result 2019

According to the PDF issues by the NTA, the overall cut off Unreserved Category stands at 134 marks for the NEET-UG 2019. While for Reserved Category it was 107 marks and for Unreserved (PH) it was 120 marks. This indicates that all the candidates of the unreserved category who have scored 134 marks or more; reserved category candidates who have scored 107 marks and above and Unreserved (PH) who have secured 120 marks and more will be called in for the counseling process.

After the declaration of NEET-UG Result 2019, Delhi was the Top performing state with the highest success ratio with as many as 74.92% candidates, followed by Haryana with the overall success ratio is 73.41%. Chandigarh secured the third position with a 73.24% pass percentage.

Gender wise no. of candidates Registered, Appeared, Absent and Qualified:- NEET-UG Result 2019

As per NEET-UG 2019 result analysis, 14, 10,755 candidates appeared for the exam, out of which 7, 97,042 students qualified the exam (4, 45,761 girls and 3, 51,278 boys).

This year has experienced an in the number of candidates registered for NEET- UG 2019 with 14.52%. The total number of candidates registered this year was 15, 19,375.

Toppers- NEET-UG Result 2019

As per the reports, Nalin Khandelwal from Rajasthan topped the NEET 2019 Exam and has secure NEET AIR Rank 1 as he scored 701 marks out of the total 720 marks. NEET AIR Rank 2 and AIR Rank 3 were secured by Akshat Kaushik from Uttar Pradesh and Bhavik from Delhi with a total of 700 marks.

According to the merit list shared by the NTA, there were 20 girls in the list of 100 NEET 2019 toppers.

Madhuri Reddy G from Telangana secured the top rank among all girl candidates. She secured AIR Rank 7 in the overall tally of ranks.

NEET- UG 2019 result is the way to seek admission in nearly 95000 MBBS and BDS seats offered by Government and Private Medical and Dental colleges across India excluding for AIIMS and JIPMER as these two institutions are not in NEET-UG ambit.

Looking at the above data we can conclude the following:

Total number of qualified students for NEET-UG 2019 = 7, 97,042

Total number of available seats in India = 95,000 (MBBS & BDS)

The number of NEET-UG 2019 qualified students, who will not get seats in India = 7, 02, 042.

Therefore only 12% NEET-UG 2019 qualified students will get the seat. What about the rest of NEET-UG 2019 qualified students?
