Yerevan in Armenia houses one of the Top Medical University in the region, which was established in
1991 - The University of Traditional Medicine. Over the last 26 years, the university has achieved many
milestones and developed new standards for quality education in the region. Academic standards,
research projects and the teaching methods adopted by the university help the students imbibe
additional knowledge to deal with the complexities of the modern world. The Ministry of Education &
Science had acknowledged the contribution of the university and accredited with one of the highest
level of recommendation.
The faculty of UTM is regarding highly in the fraternity of medicine as it constantly encourages the
students to acquire knowledge about new advancements and incorporate flexible methods of thinking
to contribute towards the well-being of the society. Many renowned members are visiting faculty panel
at UTM are highly educated and understand the needs of the modern world.
This improvisation helps the students to incorporate traditional as well as modern techniques during the
learning process and achieve their goals. By 1996, UTM could offer degrees in two faculties - Faculty of
