About University

Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University is considered as one of the largest and best universities to study MBBS in Russia. The university was founded in the year 1972 and is situated in the city of Syktyvkar, which is the capital of the Komi Republic.

The main aim of the university is to provide the best training with all the latest technologies to all its students so that after graduation every student makes an effective contribution in the socio-economic and cultural development of the Republic of Komi, Russia and other countries of the world.  

At present, the university comprises of 600 academic faculties and more than 9000 students. Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University constitutes 12 institutes with 154 educational programs in various different fields. The university offers 30 undergraduate programs along with 26 postgraduates programs in various different fields including natural sciences, humanities, medicine, technology, pedagogy, jurisprudence, art and economics, and management.

Accommodation

Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University offers cozy and comfortable accommodations for all international students. The rooms are provided on sharing the basis of the same gender. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and students can get free internet. The rooms are well furnished with all the basic amenities such as beds, cupboards, central heating systems, etc.

Every floor of the hostel has a kitchen where students can cook for themselves. There is a canteen in the campus that serves multi-cuisine food including Indian, Arabic, Chinese, etc.

The hostel is under the surveillance of police for security reasons.

Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University offers various multiple interesting opportunities to all its students and thus makes their life more enjoyable at the university. The university persuades students to celebrate their national festivals to keep their cultural spirits high.

To keep students physically fit and active the university provides a sports complex where students can enjoy football, basketball, swimming, etc.
