NEET-UG 2025: Last 10 Days Do's and Don'ts

With NEET-UG 2025 just around the corner, the countdown has begun! These final ten days can make a significant difference in your performance and confidence. While your months (or even years) of hard work form the core of your preparation, your actions and mindset in these last few days can determine how effectively you translate your knowledge into marks.

Here’s a well-structured guide on what to do and what to avoid during the last 10 days before the NEET-UG 2025 exam.

    The Do's: Maximize Your Potential

    The Dos

    1. Revise Strategically

It is not the time to start something new. Revising important NEET UG topics you have already covered, especially the high weightage chapters, is more important.

    • Stick to NCERT books devoted to Biology, which contain 50% of the entire NEET marks.
    • Formula, reaction, definition revision based on flashcards, quick notes.
    • Give mock tests and try to have a look in case you have made a mistake otherwise, you shouldn’t repeat that.

    2. Practice MCQs with a Timer

The syllabus laws may be agreed but practice during exam conditions too. Every two days, solve at least one full length mock test.

    • OMR sheets to become accustomed to bubbling in the answers.
    • Try to time yourself strictly, you will have 3 hours and 180 questions.
    • Examine your performance of your NEET-UG 2025 mock tests. This will help you understand all your shortcomings. What sections did you struggle with? Were there time management issues?

    3. Sleep & Eat Well

The preparation will not work if your body and mind are tired. 7–8 hours of quality sleep along with nutritious food should be a priority.

    • The junk food will also lower your energy levels.
    • Drink well and low on caffeine.

You should try to adjust your body clock to match the time of the exam (2 PM to 5:20 PM) because your mind is at the best time to take the actual test.

    4. Use Short Revision Notes

By the time you get around to making quick revision notes if you’ve got the time, now is the ideal moment to do that. Focus on:

    • Important NCERT topics from Biology.
    • Reactions and exceptions in Chemistry.
    • Formulas, units, and key derivations in Physics.

These notes will serve as confidence boosters, as well as save you time.

    5. Stay Positive and Calm

A missed chapter won’t detract you from the game and so will not hamper your performance as much as stress will. Keep a positive mindset.

    • Visualize your success. View yourself taking the exam comfortably and unharmed.
    • Try to perform breathing techniques and meditation to get less anxious.
    • If you are overwhelmed, seek help from the mentors or from parents.

The Don'ts: Avoid these mistakes to cut the competitions

    The Donts

    1. Don’t Start New Topics

One of the common mistakes during NEET UG preparation is starting new topics. In the last 10 days, dredging into unexplored topics will only irritate and overwhelm you.

    • Focus on strengthening your strengths.
    • Instead of quantity, seek quality revision.
    • If you feel that a topic is totally foreign, skip it. Trust your preparation.

    2. Avoid Comparing with Friends

Everyone has their own pace. There is no need to look at what mock test scores or what revision status your person has compared to others.

    • Trust your strategy.
    • If the group study makes you feel unproductive, then avoid it.
    • Focus inward—this is your journey.

    3. Don’t Overdo Mock Tests

NEET-UG 2025 Mock tests are useful but too many tests will deplete your energy.

    • In the last 10 days, 4–5 Full Mock tests are enough.
    • Take a bit more time reanalyzing mistakes and overcompensating for your weak areas.
    • Don’t let one bad mock knock you off your confidence.

    4. Admit Card Instructions Not to Be Ignored

It is suggested to download your NEET-UG 2025 admit card on time. Read all instructions carefully.

    • Find out what location and what time you need to be and report the way you are dressed.
    • Ensure that you have everything you need: admit card, ID proof, etc.
    • If possible, visit the exam center a day or two before the exam so as to not be in a panic.

    5. Avoid Late-Night Study Sessions

Burning the midnight oil can mess up your biological clock.

    • Sleep early, wake up early.
    • Your brain should be alert as per the NEET-UG 2025 timetable

    FAQs

Ques 1: Should I be concentrating more on Class 11 or 12 topics?

Answer 1: Both are equally important. The distribution of NEET is balanced in classes 11 and 12. Revise high weightage chapters from both the classes beforehand.

Ques 2: How many mock tests should I attempt in the last 10 days?

Answer 2: About 4–5 full-length mocks are enough. Instead, analyze your mistakes more thoroughly, stay in and learn your lessons much more than ends.

Ques 3: Is NCERT enough for Biology?

Answer 3: Yes. Nearly 85 – 90 % of NEET Biology questions slip directly from NCERT. However, diagrams and examples must be understood well.

Ques 4: Are Physics or Chemistry out of the picture still if I can’t revise them out of the blue?

Answer 4: No. Skipping a subject altogether, however, is not a good idea as, while you can prioritize, you can’t entirely avoid them. Study the topics with the highest yields and the easiest to score in the weak subjects.
