On March 20, 2024, the Post Graduate Medical Education Board, National Medical Commission, Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General for Health Sciences, and National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences, conducted a meeting that resulted in the rescheduling of the NEET PG 2024 exam to June 23rd, 2024.
This decision was prompted by the announcement of the scheduled Lok Sabha Election 2024 to avoid the potential logistical challenges and conflicting schedules posed during the examination.
