The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG 2026 results on 16 July 2026 in New Delhi, bringing relief to nearly 20 lakh medical aspirants across the country. NTA speeds up the results process

This year, NTA introduced changes to make the evaluation process faster without affecting transparency. Instead of completing each stage one after another, the agency carried out multiple tasks simultaneously, helping it declare the result on the schedule.

With the results now available, the admission process will move to the counselling stage. NTA clarified that its responsibility ends with conducting the examination, preparing the results, and issuing the All India Rank (AIR). The counselling process will be handled by the designated authorities.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for 15% of All India Quota seats in MBBS and BDS programmes, while state counselling authorities will manage admissions under their respective state quotas. Admissions for AYUSH courses under the All India Quota will be coordinated by the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

NTA has also advised students and parents to stay alert against fake admission offers, fraudulent calls, and websites claiming to guarantee seats or improve scores. The agency said it never asks candidates to make payments or share confidential information through unofficial channels.
