The National Testing Agency has initiated the application process for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024. Interested candidates can now apply online via the official website of the NTA. As per the the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the NEET UG has to be conducted as a common and uniform National Eligiblity-cum-Entrance Test for admission to various undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.
As an essential addition, proactive students seeking admission to B.Sc Nursing being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals for the year 2024 are required to qualify for the NEET examination.
Aspiring candidates can begin submitting their applications online from 9th February 2024. The deadline for online submission is set for 9th March 2024. Moreover, NEET (UG) 2024 will be conducted via pen and paper mode on 5th May 2024.
The exam shall contain 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each subject consists of 50 questions and is divided into two sections: Section A and Section B. The Examination will be of 200 minutes (03 hours 20 minutes). According to the New Education Policy 2020, the NEET-UG 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
