As per the latest press release dated 11th December 2023 by the National Medical Council, an additional attempt has been granted to MBBS students who were admitted to medical institutions during the academic year 2020-21 and could not pass their first professional MBBS exam. This decision has been taken as a one-time measure to provide relief to those students who were adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during their academic session.
The National Medical Council acknowledges the challenges and difficulties faced by the students and has taken this step to ensure that their academic progress is not hampered due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond their control. The decision will provide a much-needed respite to the affected students and enable them to continue their academic pursuits with renewed vigor and determination.
