Ningxia Medical University formerly known as Ningxia Medical College was established in April 1958. It is the only higher medical education institution in Ningxia.
It has two campuses- Yanhu and Shuangyi.
The university has 13 teaching institutions, 11 teaching & research institutions, 12 affiliated hospitals, 20 teaching hospitals, more than 50 internship hospitals & practical teaching bases. It has more than 7,000 faculty members and medical staff with exemplary qualifications to teach the students about the basics of medical science.
Presently, the university has 8,000+ students which include 1,700+ doctoral & master students, and 300+ international students. It offers the enrolled students to pursue doctoral and masters degrees. It adheres to the concept of hard work, self-improvement and quality education.
The university offers hostel facility available inside the campus. It has a bed sharing system equipped with television, Internet connection, drinking water supply, air-conditioning and attached bathroom with hot water supply. The university canteen offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food at pocket-friendly prices. Students can also cook food by themselves, after taking prior permission from the hostel management.
