David Tvildiani Medical University is one of the assigned prestigious medical colleges by the Government of Georgia among Europe and Asia. AIETI is the medical branch of DTMU that was established in 1989 by Academician David Tvildiani and Dr Dimitri Tvildiani. In 2011, the School received the status of University by the National Authorization Council and it was named after its founder David Tvildiani.
Presently the Medical School and DTMU are the active members of Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE), Association of Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), ORPHEUS, Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) and Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS). The University is also recognized and accredited by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and enlisted with the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).
The University is considered as one of the best in the list of Top Medical Universities in Georgia. All graduates of DTMU are guaranteed to appear and pass all international and MCI examinations for practicing their medical career in any part of the world by clearing the required formalities of that respective country; like USMLE for the USA, MCI Screening test or FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) for INDIA.
DTMU is also the exclusive medical University that holds an amazing hostel within the compound for international students.
